Site Superintendent
Position:
Candidate will oversee all aspects of stream restoration projects, while ensuring proper safety and OSHA requirements are being met. Candidate will be required to operate heavy equipment such as large excavators and dozers. Candidate will run a crew of approximately 10 people and must be able to meet project deadlines. Position will require proper recording of logs and daily reports. Candidate will be required to travel within North Carolina. Company vehicle, overnight accommodations and per diem will be provided as needed.
Requirements:
Minimum 2+ years in supervisory position. Must be familiar with stream restorations and wetland projects. Must be able to install in-stream structures. Must be able to read project plans. Experience with GPS preferred. Must have clean driving record and be able to pass drug screenings and background checks. Candidate must have strong communication skills with an emphasis on motivating their crew and working as a team. Exposure to elements including heat and cold stress and nuisance dust conditions and woodland, streamside and swampland flora and fauna. May work up to 12 hours per day.

Field Laborer
Primary Responsibility: Manual Labor
Position:
Performs general manual labor tasks associated with stream restoration/debris clearing and related project tasks. Position includes occasional use small mechanized earthmoving equipment. Two plus years environmental or construction experience preferred, we are willing to train the right candidate. Must have a clear, valid driver’s license & be able to pass a drug screening and background check. Position will require travel within North Carolina. Overnight lodging & Per Diem provided when needed.
Requirements:
Requires coordinated use of both hands and feet, vision correctable to USDOT driver standards, adequate hearing to receive instructions and detect safety/emergency signals. Position requires working on uneven work surfaces frequent pushing/pulling/carrying of equipment/objects/debris of varying sizes, shapes and weights. May occasionally lift up to 75 pounds, frequently lift 31-45 pounds and continually lift 16-22 pounds. May use hand manual and power hand tools including chain saws with exposure to noise and vibration. May operate mechanized earthmoving/transfer equipment that involves extended seated work with exposure to rough ground conditions, bumping & jostling and vibration. Exposure to elements including heat and cold stress and nuisance dust conditions and woodland, streamside and swampland flora and fauna. May also be required to perform detail tasks requiring good eye/hand coordination such as tool maintenance and repair. May work up to 12 hours per day.
